Parting Shots on a Great Birthday Weekend

January 26, 2025

We’re having to reinvent our Dillon experience a bit, since we’ll probably never return to the fabulous Full Circle. I have to admit, Full Circle really defined Dillon for us (well, maybe just me?) and staying in a new place was a bit of a let down. But we pulled out a great visit, and I expect we’ll return in the years/birthdays to come.

Some more random pics:

A footprint on the beach. NOT either of ours. But what a print…

Speaking of sand art… we came upon this sand writing on Friday Dillon Beach walk.. and later learned the artist was our Lisa, scrawled earlier that day before we all met up for lunch. Glad we’d not missed it.

As seen in Dillon…

The ubiquitous iceplant, this patch stretching into the dunes…

A great view spot along the road, just before descending to Dillon Beach…

I like this one for perspective.. you can see Tomales Bay, the long peninsula whose length we’ve hike numerous times, and the Pacific in the distance. Limantour Beach is over the peninsula and well to the left on a piece of land that juts west.

Bird on a post, a drive by that worked…

I love the road shots..

Us, all happy and windblown:

We stopped at Della Fratoria in Petaluma on the way home and split a tuna sandwich on their great bread.

And that’s a wrap.
