Ann Arbor Meets Dillon
January 24, 2025
Ah… the vibe starts to seep into the pores. We’re on Dillon time. Here’s the view out the kitchen window, first thing:

Nice to have a hill view (foreground is our backyard fence) ..

The day starts with what has become our traditional Dillon breakfast: oatmeal, blueberries, raisins, coconut, pecans, brown sugar…

Then some of this (Jim’s not off to a good start)..

… and some of that (Perquacky, favoritest game ever)…

Claire and Lisa — who are spending a couple weeks housesitting in Santa Rosa — came over and we met them for lunch down at the cafe and then took them for a walk around the so-called village.

Here are Lisa and Scout on the Bumblebee path to the beach..

They took off and Jim and I walked the 1 1/4 mile length of the beach, and back, turning around just shy of Lawson’s Landing. Incredibly beautiful weather.
The dunes..

The beach..

The end of the beach proper, looking across Tomales Bay at the Pt. Reyes National Seashore and the long skinny peninsula that we’ve hiked numerous times (farthest point is Tomales Point, off to the right in this shot):

Came home and made a nice salmon dinner.. then watched the 2014 movie Whiplash.
