Life as Meditation

Jim and I saw a movie tonight about a guy in Tokyo who cleans toilets and lives a quiet life. I liked it. (I didn’t like it as much as I LOVED Maestro, but it gave me a lot to think about.)
As we walked home, we talked about how the movie made us each feel better about our (not insignificant) routines. Jim and I are both very… uh… habitual.
There is comfort in routines. And now I can see that a life shaped by routines can also be quite meditative.
